In this performance, with the Franco-Brazilian artist Isabelle Reullon, our intention is to deal with concepts such as freedom, equality and fraternity, themes of the French Revolution. It’s sad that wars between Europe and Arabia – and also between other countries - still persist nowadays.
We think that violence leads to violence, and that no one should attack alien territory, with no exception. We support freedoms of expression, belief, religion and culture, and we hope that nations and people find a solution to understand each other and coexist.
The red veil symbolizes victims on both sides. In the end of the series, a light appears, when the body finally manages to untie itself.
