This work is about the relationship between human being and time at the end of life, and the complicity of love. An immersion in my grandparent’s daily life, who live together for over half a century in a centennial house built by my great-grandfather, immigrant from Italy.
It is a multimedia work, with audio, video, pictures and objects. It researches the direction of non-actors and the boundaries between documentary and fiction. The attempt to make a fiction film that does not happen ends by turning into a hybrid, where “mistakes” are embedded.
My grandfather almost doesn't listen anymore. My grandmother almost can't remember anything. She forgets what he tells her; he is not able to understand what she says. But still they love and complement each other.
Their relationship over time, the relationship between them, and the relationship between them and me is what I try to express with this experience.
